20 September 2023
We would like to welcome our second programme cohort for 2023. Over the next 12 weeks we will be working with twenty businesses, supporting them through weekly masterclass sessions and workshops, and bespoke one to one support with creative industry specialists & experts. We will be working towards getting the businesses pitch ready in order to further their success once our intensive support programme has finished. Creative East is here to support the creative industries in Norfolk, Suffolk, Peterborough and Cambridgeshire to achieve their growth ambitions, and we will be championing our companies throughout the programme. Here’s a run-down of the new set of film, TV & video companies on the Creative East programme;

About us: We are an online TV broadcast production company based at Clopton Business Park, Suffolk. We produce niche online subscription modelled based Netflix style channels. Our main channel here in the UK is http://www.spedeworth.tv which covers oval racing across the UK, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.
We have 7 crews out every weekend for the season across the country simultaneously. The growth for on-demand online tv content is increasing and we are keen to grow take the business to the next level.
Why we applied to join the Creative East programme: I think we will really benefit from what the program offers, our business has seen year on year growth, and we are in a good position to look at investment opportunities, mentorship and networking so we can continue our growth over the years to come.

Contact: Rachel Prendergast, Producer & Founder
About us: SubMotion Productions has a two-fold approach to their business, creating high-end video content for advertising and commercials, as well as developing a slate of feature films. Both sides of their business reflect their passion for storytelling, with an emphasis on producing visually stunning and emotionally engaging content. By combining their expertise in commercial content creation with their passion for narrative filmmaking, SubMotion Productions is able to deliver a unique and compelling perspective to their clients and audiences alike.
Why we applied to join the Creative East programme: We are really great at producing adverts and short films, but when it comes to business and how to scale the business, we lack the expertise to know how to put a successful business strategy in place. We have a clear vision of where we would like the company to be in 3-5 years and would benefit hugely from the master classes and mentorship the Creative East programme offers to put into place the practical steps needed. I would like to understand what the best type of investment for our business would be, and how we become ready for that next step of growth. Mentally we are ready, but the business plan needs to be clearer, and I believe the programme will highlight the options and practicalities

We are looking to develop a solution to provide cloud-based production solutions for the film and TV sectors, we have completed a number of proof of concepts or core technology and continue to develop but are constrained on funding which results in slower than wanted progress, looking to secure funding to complete a MVP and potentially to scale further.
Why we applied to join the Creative East programme: The new product area we are developing will need new skills, staff and marketing approaches. We will need to reach clients and investors to fully take advantage of what we can offer.
